Aisin Group to Exhibit at 2018 North American International Auto Show
New 'Demo Car' will make its North American début

DETROIT, Jan. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Tier One automotive supplier Aisin Group today announced that it will participate in the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Jan. 15-28, at Cobo Center, in Detroit.

The joint exhibit of six Aisin Group companies includes Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd., Aisin Takaoka Co., Ltd., Aisin Chemical Co., Ltd., Aisin AW Co., Ltd., Aisin AI Co., Ltd., and ADVICS Co., Ltd., and once again will be prominently located on the main show floor alongside automakers and other Tier One suppliers. NAIAS 2018 marks Aisin's sixth consecutive year of participation at the annual Detroit event.

NAIAS, one of the top motor shows in the world, continues to be an important part of Aisin Group's global event strategy, which also includes exhibits at shows in Frankfurt, Paris, Beijing, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

In response to rapid structural changes in the global auto industry, the Aisin Group exhibit will focus on three next-generation growth areas: Zero Emissions, Automated Driving, and Connected Cars.

Zero Emissions
Expansion of Aisin's powertrain lineup will be presented in response to the shift toward vehicle electrification, including a FWD 1-Motor Hybrid transmission utilizing existing technology and eAxle.

Automated Driving
Integrated Vehicle Dynamics Control, including a Driver Emergency Response System, as well as Automated Valet Parking, will be displayed.  

Connected Cars
An introduction to Aisin Group's Location Based Services will be presented and explained, as well as Hospitality Services in which the vehicle interprets users' feelings and continuously provides a comfortable ride.

The sixth largest Tier One supplier and largest transmission maker in the world, Aisin Group will also showcase its transmission lineup, including the 10-speed RWD AT for high torque capacity application, along with its full variable displacement oil pump optimizing fuel consumption, and its thermal management system, including electric water pump and grille shutter enabling efficient energy utilization.

New Demo Car to be Unveiled
To the delight of technically minded auto enthusiasts who have a penchant for parts, Aisin Group will unveil the latest version of its popular Demo Car. Making its North American debut, the frame-model demonstration vehicle is equipped with a wide range of the latest products in the Aisin Group lineup. The educational structure was designed to easily demonstrate specific parts and their related applications using effects such as movement, light, and large LED video images that illustrate the distinctive features of each product.

The Aisin Group exhibit is located on the main show floor between the Lexus and Michelin exhibits.
