Virtually rediscover the hundreds of cars on display at the 2016 NAIAS

TROY, Mich., Feb. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) today announced a partnership with Michigan-based LunaTech 3D that creates an interactive show floor experience that allows individuals to go back and not only "tour" NAIAS, but learn more information on their favorite vehicles.

"This interactive tool allows individuals to digitally immerse themselves in the show floor, providing them with the ability to "walk the show floor" and research key information for vehicles that caught their attention when they visited the show this past January."

Built off the foundation of Google's Street View platform, LunaTech 3D takes it to another level through their proprietary InnerAct™ Tool of NAIAS, which is how the entire show becomes interactive.

Key features of the NAIAS interactive platform include:

  • An embedded show floor map in the upper right corner, allows viewers on any device to select a 'destination exhibit' and jump into the display for any given brand, while also being able to select from any attractive carousel item at the bottom and continue their tour experience from that place.
  • Within most of the exhibits, the tool also includes clickable hot spots [circled + sign], which when clicked will play videos, photo galleries or even allow a 360 orbital view of that vehicle, with full zoom capacity.  LunaTech 3D even created a 360° Video to capture the music, action and light show of the new FCA Exhibit.  Literally dropping the viewer into the middle of the display to spin around during the video, as though in real time.
  • One of the great features of the InnerAct™ Tool is how it allowed exhibitors who were not positioned on the main show floor to also participate in the entire show experience by being connected with a 'carousel' of interesting starting points in the tour.

In addition to the main show floor exhibitors, key partners with exhibits in the Cobo Center concourse and in hospitality rooms, like Steel Market Development Institute, were also able to opt in for their own virtual show space within the online experience, that they can use in their marketing materials to show clients, future prospects and the general public across the globe everything they introduced or showcased at this year's NAIAS, with full zoom capability and their own set of clickable hot spots for videos, web links etc.
