"From brand defining vehicle reveals to future mobility innovations, the North American International Auto Show serves as the global stage for automakers, suppliers and tech startups to showcase their products and technologies to thousands of international press and industry leaders," said Sam Slaughter, 2017 NAIAS Chairman. "With the exciting addition of AutoMobili-D to NAIAS in 2017, over 100 companies focused on future mobility platforms will join an established group of automakers for a jam-packed week of industry-shaping announcements."

AutoMobili-D
Spearheaded by NAIAS, AutoMobili-D will run in conjunction with Preview Week (Jan. 8-12) and will feature more than 100 companies focused on future transportation and mobility initiatives. Automakers, suppliers and tech startups will showcase their technologies and products in a dedicated 120,000 sq. ft dynamic exposition located in Cobo Center's main Atrium and adjoining Planet M (Hall E). John Krafcik, CEO of Google's Self-Driving Car Project will keynote the kickoff to AutoMobili-D the afternoon of Sunday, Jan. 8 from the AutoMobili-D main stage.

Media Data Asset Management Portal
For 2017, NAIAS has again partnered with IBM, a global leader in innovation and technology, for the NAIAS Media Data Asset Management portal that will house content from our OEM, supplier and sponsor partners. Credentialed media members will be able to access content ranging from press releases to graphics to video all in one portal, alleviating the need for journalists to have to find this content on these companies' respective websites. This portal is available to access on naias.com under the "Press" tab and then select "IBM Content Management Portal." Your individual email is the username and the password is NAIAS2017.

Credentials by Mail
Journalists are encouraged to register online at naias.com and complete the form on the Press page. To receive credentials by mail, journalists must apply during the early registration period that ends Dec. 16, 2016. After Dec. 16, journalists may still register online, but will need to collect their credentials in person at Cobo Center on or after Jan. 3, 2017. The registration deadline for all media applications is Dec. 31, 2016.

Media credentials are required for entry to NAIAS 2017 and provided to qualified journalists only. To qualify, applicants must be working in print, broadcast or social-based/website media. All persons entering the show floor with credentials during Press Preview will be required to present additional identification (current driver's license or passport) for validation. NAIAS credentials are not transferable.

The Gallery
NAIAS media credentials will also provide access to a special media preview of The Gallery, an exclusive event featuring a magnificent display of ultra-luxury and exotic vehicles at MGM Grand Detroit on Sunday, Jan. 8, from 9-11 a.m. Now in its tenth year, The Gallery will feature an estimated $7 million worth of exotic supercars and luxury vehicles, many of which will not be shown at NAIAS due to their exclusivity.
