NAIAS Partners With Techstars Alumni Motoroso To Provide Interactive Content For 2017 Auto Show

DETROIT, Jan. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) announced today a partnership with Techstars alumni Motoroso to provide interactive content for the upcoming 2017 auto show. NAIAS will leverage Motoroso's unique consumer facing platform to create interactive content in real-time to allow enthusiasts the ability to learn more about the exciting vehicles making their debut in Detroit.

"Building off the strong buzz Motoroso created during SEMA, this partnership will allow NAIAS to enhance our social engagement to our global audiences by providing engaging, vehicle-related content," said Sam Slaughter, 2017 NAIAS Chairman.

Motoroso is a community where automotive enthusiasts develop, build and share their vehicle interests. Its unique platform allows users to curate interactive layers over images to tag information, products, videos, articles and tips, to create an immersive experience around all things automotive.

"I'm thrilled about this opportunity to partner with NAIAS and connect with enthusiasts around the world," said Alex Littlewood, Founder and CEO, Motoroso. "We've had over 60,000 images uploaded and curated by users, journalists and brands on Motoroso and this will be the first time we'll be using the platform to cover a global event of this scale in real-time."

What to expect from Motoroso's NAIAS content:

  • Following each vehicle reveal, an interactive image will be created to highlight the key features through a clickable layer.
    • The interactive layer over each vehicle image will contain information, specifications, videos and relevant links for enthusiasts to engage with.
  • Content will be populated in real-time on the NAIAS website as well as the Motoroso website.

Journalists and media outlets can utilize this content by embedding fully functioning Motoroso content directly into their own online articles by placing a simple snippet of iframe code. The code can be retrieved directly from the Motoroso user interface. A tutorial can be found here.

In conjunction with the partnership, Motoroso has launched a "Reg-CF" equity crowdfunding campaign, making it possible for the automotive community to own a piece of Motoroso's future success. Unlike traditional crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter or IndieGogo, supporters on WeFunder are actually investing in Motoroso and becoming shareholders.
