NEW YORK, April 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In addition to the more than 40 world and North American vehicle debuts expected at the 2017 New York International Auto Show, several high profile mobility and transportation events are taking place during Press Days, April 12 & 13.
The events kick-off with the Empire State of Mobility Conference on April 12, 2017. The conference is assembling leaders and visionaries in the mobility, transportation, government and financial communities to discuss how private/public partnerships will fund the major infrastructure improvements necessary to create connected mobility.
Throughout both press days, there will be a featured exhibit area on the main Auto Show floor that will showcase six emerging mobility-related tech companies.
Emerging Tech Showcase Companies
On Thursday, April 13 each company will have the opportunity to pitch its technology to an esteemed panel of judges. A winner will be selected as the New York International Auto Show's Emerging Tech All-Star.
This year's judges include: Dawn Manley, Strategy, Business Development and Partnership at Samsung Strategy and Innovation Center; Steve Girsky, Managing Partner, VectoIQ and former GM Board of Directors; Seval OZ, Former CEO of Continental Intelligent Transportations Systems, LLC; Dave Shepardson, correspondent, ThompsonReuters; and I.P. Park Executive Vice President, Software Center, LG Electronics.
